Philip Saltz’s practice focuses on Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate and Preventative Law. Before joining Business Law Southwest LLC, he operated Financial Decisions, Inc., a New Mexico Registered Investment Advisor. He was formerly a Judge Pro Tempore with the Los Angeles Municipal Court, an Arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers and a lobbyist before the California State legislature where he has written legislation that is part of the California Public Utilities Code. Phil conceived of and founded the U.D. Registry, Inc. in 1978, in California, the first business of its kind in the United States, creating a database of eviction actions and providing a tenant screening service for real property owners and managers. He was a Stock Broker and Consultant with Shearson-American Express and Prudential-Bache from 1980-1986. He worked as a Tax Accountant with the Big 8 accounting firm of Arthur Young from 1960 to 1961. Since coming to New Mexico in 1994, he has been President of the Santa Fe Life Underwriters’ Association, the New Mexico School for the Deaf Foundation and the Santa Fe Northwest Advisory Council.
