As a shareholder with the firm, I work with businesses and the entrepreneurs who run them to bring successful resolutions to business disputes in an assertive and cost effective manner. Through litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation, I help clients end unproductive business relationships so that they can move forward with more lucrative opportunities. After more than a decade of practice in the "corporate divorce" arena, I understand the challenges and the opportunities that arise from internal dissension within the management, operations and ownership of a closely held business. Through hard work, candid advice and effective advocacy, I help clients achieve successful outcomes.I frequently litigate issues involving breach of contract, fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious deprivation of corporate interest, conspiracy and related claims. In addition to seeking, or defending against demands for monetary relief, I often utilize injunctions, declaratory judgments, court ordered accountings and judicial dissolutions to achieve my clients' goals.I was named a "SuperLawyer" in the Atlanta legal community by Atlanta Magazine in 2012, and as a "Rising Star" by that same periodical in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. I am a member of the 2012 Class of Leadership DeKalb. I also serve on the executive committee of the Gators for Business arm of the Atlanta Gator Club and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Solo Practitioner / Small Firm Section of the Atlanta Bar.After graduating from the University of Florida, I obtained my law degree from the Emory University School of Law and have lived in Atlanta since 1994. My wife, Dawn, and I have a young son, Mitchell. When not practicing law, I enjoy any excuse to be outdoors, reading or watching college football.
