NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (April 18, 2023) – The law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. is pleased to welcome attorney Joseph R. Dunaj as an Associate with the firm. Attorney Dunaj joins the firm’s commercial litigation, and bankruptcy and creditor rights practice groups. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions and creditors in various collection cases and foreclosure cases, inclusive of settlement negotiations, title matters, and both appellate and bankruptcy work.

Attorney Dunaj’s experience in foreclosure cases is extensive and he has obtained favorable court decisions in the areas of opening foreclosure judgments, and the impact of a bankruptcy stay or appellate stay on a foreclosure. Prior to joining Neubert, Pepe, and Monteith, P.C. attorney Dunaj primarily represented banks, mortgage servicers, and lenders in residential and commercial foreclosure cases, both as a plaintiff and as a defendant.

Attorney Dunaj earned his B.A. from the University of Connecticut and J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While attending law school, he served on the editorial board of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal. Attorney Dunaj is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
