Fernando graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, with a degree in Law. He also earned a Master's degree in Law and Corporate Finance from ESAN. As a professional, Fernando has more than 20 years’ experience in the fields of Corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, foreign investment and bankruptcy.

He has had an active role in multiple mergers and acquisitions, from the structuring of the deal and the legal due diligence to contract negotiation and closing of the transaction. Fernando also has extensive experience in corporate workouts, turnarounds, and bankruptcies, including investing and financing in distressed companies and acquiring distressed assets. He has also served as director of several companies in the industrial and financial sector.

He is a member of the Bar Association of Callao, the Corporate and M&A Law committee of the International Bar Association - IBA, and the International Law Section of the American Bar Association - ABA. Chambers & Partners, LatinLawyer and Legal 500 have short listed him in their Peruvian lawyer rankings that specialize in mergers and acquisitions, as well as bankruptcies.
