About Murphy Fletcher
Murphy Horne Fletcher is an associate with the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. She assists clients in federal and state litigation. Additionally, Murphy advises on federal and state tax issues, including tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Murphy is a member of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys and a member of the Litigation Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She also volunteers with the Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyers Program with Pisgah Legal Services.Murphy received her undergraduate degree from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, and then received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. During her time at Wake Forest, she worked as a judicial extern for Special Master Denise Vowell of the Office of Special Masters, a division of the United States Court of Federal Claims. Murphy now lives with her husband Milton, a local assistant district attorney, in the River Arts District.
