Though he grew up in Massachusetts, Nick has happily settled in Napa Valley.

Nick credits the wine, food, and beautiful landscape as the lures that brought him to Napa. He has become actively involved in a number of community organizations, including the Napa Valley Symphony and the Napa Valley Arts Council.
Nick is a member of Gaw Van Male's Business practice and spearheads the firm's Wine Industry group.
Nick enjoys hiking and visiting museums in the Bay Area, and catching a baseball game whenever possible. He finds happiness in good conversation over a bottle of Napa wine, of course.
While Nick represents clients in a variety of industries, including construction, food processing, logistics, and manufacturing, Nick is the head of the firm's Wine Law Team and his primary practice at Gaw Van Male focuses on clients in the wine industry.
Nick represents established brands and helps to create and develop new wine brands. His representation of wineries, brand and vineyard owners spans from formation, including capital raising, drafting and negotiating primary documents including custom crush agreements, alternating proprietorship agreements, grape purchase agreements, operating and shareholder agreements and licensing of intellectual property, to general representation of established brands including corporate governance issues, acquisitions, buyouts among owners, transfers to family members, and sales of wineries, wine brands and vineyards.
