Teresa is passionate about her family. Seeing her children happy and thriving is what makes Teresa happy. Many of her favorite hobbies involve her husband and two young children. On most weekends afternoons, Teresa can be found spending time with family and friends or watching her children's athletic events. She is also an active parent at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church School.
As an attorney, Teresa feels a strong sense of commitment to volunteer and serve others. She is heavily involved in a variety of local Napa organizations including Napa Solano SANE/SART and the Legal Aid of Napa Valley, where she serves as co-chair and pro bono counsel.
Immediately after completing law school in San Francisco, Teresa was admitted to the California State Bar, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, in 1988.
Teresa practiced insurance defense litigation for ten years in San Francisco. Since joining Gaw Van Male in 1998, she has practiced in the areas of general civil and business litigation, employment litigation, and labor and employment counseling. She has significant bench and jury trial experience.
