About Y. Jay Baykara
Y. Jay Baykara is a member of the commercial litigation practice group at Keyser Mason Ball, LLP. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration.
In addition to this, Jay provides clients with essential advice in assessing litigation risk while finding business solutions to complex legal issues. Jay has significant experience with both international and domestic arbitration. He is a member of the ICC and LCIA, in which Jay has dealt with commercial disputes covering a broad range of industries, including banking, shareholder disputes, commercial property, energy securities, and financial recovery enforcement. Jay has also acted as counsel on various complex commercial development projects, CCAA restructuring and multi-party construction disputes.
Prior to joining KMB Jay worked at the Ministry of the Attorney General, in which he was awarded multiple awards for his public service and innovation in government litigation from the Premier of Ontario.
In 2020, Jay will begin an LL.M program from Queen Mary University of London, focusing on International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration.
