Yanira graduated from the Universidad Católica Santa María de Arequipa, with a degree in Law. She also earned a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú – CENTRUM.

As a professional, Yanira has more than 10 years’ experience in the fields of Corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, foreign investment and bankruptcy.

She has had an active role in multiple mergers and acquisitions, from the structuring of the deal and the legal due diligence to contract negotiation and closing of the transaction. Yanira also has extensive experience in corporate workouts, turnarounds, and bankruptcies, including investing and financing in distressed companies and acquiring distressed assets.

Legal 500 have short listed her in their Peruvian lawyer rankings that specialize in mergers and acquisitions, as well as bankruptcies. She is a member of the Bar Association of Arequipa.
