NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (September 28, 2016) Jane Elaine Ballerini, an associate with the law firm Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., has been selected by the Connecticut Law Tribune as one of the “New Leaders in the Law” for 2016. Attorney Ballerini was one of thirty-seven attorneys selected after a rigorous review of the nominated attorneys. Applicants were judged in four categories: development of the law; advocacy/community contributions; service to the bar; and peer/public recognition.
Jane Elaine Ballerini practices in the areas of commercial real estate law, commercial finance and general commercial and business law. She represents local and national banks in the extension of asset-based, mortgage and construction loans to commercial borrowers. Attorney Ballerini is one of only a few practicing U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Designated Attorneys in Connecticut. She has developed a subspecialty in representing traditional lenders and Certified Development Companies in transactions involving government guaranteed loans including loans made under the SBA’s CDC/504 and 7(a) loan programs.
In addition to being selected as one of the 2016 New Leaders in the Law, Attorney Ballerini has been named as a Connecticut and New England Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2013. Attorney Ballerini is a member of the Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Associations. She serves on both the Executive and Social Committees of the Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She also serves on the Executive Committee of The Risk Management Association (Connecticut/Western MA Chapter): Women In Banking. This spring she completed a not for profit board leadership program presented by the Institute for Effective Governance in partnership with The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Attorney Ballerini is an active volunteer and organizer with Habitat for Humanity.
