October 14, 2015 -- Mark T. Jensen, co-founder and partner at Bowie & Jensen LLC, has been selected to receive The Daily Record’s 2015 Leadership in Law award. Mr. Jensen was one of 27 winners selected from a pool of 70 nominees by a distinguished panel of judges.

The Daily Record has been presenting the Leadership in Law awards since 2001 in an effort to recognize the outstanding work being done by members of the legal community throughout Maryland. Recipients of this award devote a significant amount of their personal time and energy to enhancing the legal profession, as well as the communities in which they live and work. They also put forth their time and expertise towards mentoring future professional and community leaders.

Mr. Jensen heads the mergers and acquisitions department at Bowie & Jensen LLC, which has closed over $300 million in transactions in the past 12 months. He has been selected as a Super Lawyer in Maryland for the past three years, named to SmartCEO’s Legal Elite and received numerous legal awards throughout his highly successful and reputable law career.

A well-respected member of the community, Mr. Jensen is also committed to public service. He serves on the Board of Directors for many nonprofit corporations.  Mr. Jensen’s board positions include chairing the Quality and Safety Committee for MedStar Health, Inc., the largest health care system in the region, and chairing the Board of Directors at the Maryland Hospital Association.

An awards ceremony will be held on November 19, 2015 at the BWI Hilton in Linthicum Heights, Md. to honor all of the 27 recipients of this esteemed award. A profile of Mr. Jensen and the rest of the night’s honorees will be featured in a special edition of The Daily Record’s magazine, which will be published on November 20, 2015.
