The law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. is pleased to welcome attorney Amy B. Smith as an Associate.

She is an Attorney Professional Member of PLAN of Connecticut, the only organization in Connecticut authorized to administer a special needs pooled trust.
Douglas Skalka, managing partner for the firm, said, “Amy’s experience with and enthusiasm for the law are why we were interested in bringing her into the firm. She brings fresh ideas and is open to working with fellow attorneys to ensure the best strategy and outcome for our clients. We’re fortunate to have her as a team member and look forward to seeing her work benefit those who seek our legal services.”
Attorney Smith also represents individuals, legal entities, and lenders in both residential and commercial real estate transactions. Numerous commercial real estate owners have successfully relied on her advice in purchase and sale transactions, lease drafting, dispute resolution, collections, and evictions. Additionally, she has represented developers of common interest communities in closing many first unit transfers from contract drafting to closing.
“In the short time I’ve been with the firm, I’ve been impressed by the professional growth opportunities available to me, thanks to the vision of the founding partners and collaborative culture that exists at Neubert, Pepe, and Monteith,” Attorney Smith said. “I’m finding strong support among colleagues as we bounce ideas off each other and I’m enjoying the fact that I can both contribute to as well as benefit from peer reviews. The paraprofessional staff here is just another example of the firm’s team atmosphere that I appreciate as I start this next chapter of my legal career and expand into new practice areas.”
Earning her B.S. from Bryant College and her J.D. from New England School of Law, Attorney Smith graduated magna cum laude and served as production managing editor of the New England Law Review.
